Astra

Astra is a Russian brand that sells high-quality razor blades designed for use in classic razors, such as safety razors. Since 1996, Astra has been part of the Gillette group. In 2005, the Gillette group merged with Procter & Gamble, so today the Astra brand is part of this consumer goods giant.

However, Astra razor blades are still manufactured in Russia according to the original principles. There are two different Astra razor blades: the Superior Platinum and the Superior Stainless.

Astra razor blades are made from high-quality stainless steel and then receive a special coating for a long-lasting lifespan.

Astra and Moquer

When Moquer expanded its shaving range, Astra double edge razor blades were added to the assortment, as this brand is one of the key players in the field of wet shaving.

A good razor is nothing without high-quality razor blades, so Astra was a solid and reliable choice to include in the range. Since 2024, both types of Astra razor blades have been available in the Moquer shop.

Astra Razor Blades

As mentioned earlier, Astra razor blades are available in two different versions. The Astra Superior Platinum is the most well-known, with a sharpness rating of 4 out of 5. The Astra Superior Stainless is even slightly sharper, with a rating of 5 out of 5. Ideal for the advanced wet shaver.
